CEO of Geoscience Testing Laboratory receives another Award.
Engr. Mary Jane Alvero Al Mahdi, Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ) of Geoscience Testing Laboratory was chosen as Most Outstanding Employee of 2009 at the same time she has been awarded with the Blas F. Ople Award para sa Natatanging Bagong Bayani (a genuine “modern-day hero”).
The awards and recognition is administered by the BAGONG BAYANI FOUNDATION, INC. (BBFI), a non-stock, non-profit organization established in the Philippines since 1984. BBFI works closely with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) in the search of the awardees.
There are four categories of the awards: Bagong Bayani Award for Most Outstanding Employee; Bagong Bayani Award for Community and Social Service; Bagong Bayani Award for Culture and Performing Arts; and the Blas F. Ople Award (Natatanging Bagong Bayani) which is the highest honor to be given to the most outstanding and exemplary Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who would satisfy all the requirements of other awards criteria.
Engr. Mary Jane Alvero Al Mahdi, was nominated and later chosen to received two awards; the Most Outstanding Employee and the Blas F. Ople Award para sa Natatanging Bagong Bayani (a genuine “modern-day hero”). She will receive the awards from Her Excellency, President of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, in fitting ceremonies on December 03, 2009 at the Malacañang Palace.
